Kyle Manahan, LCSW, joins SMART with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Albright College and obtained his MSW from New York University. In addition, he received a three-year intensive post-graduate training certificate in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy from The Philadelphia Child & Family Therapy Training Center, Inc. Prior to joining SMART, his most recent work was with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Kyle has worked with children, adolescents and adults in both an outpatient setting as well as intensive in-home treatment.
Hi, I’m Nikki. I have worked at SMART Child and Family Services since May of 2014; I work in the HCT and outpatient programs as a clinician. I have been a clinician for 3 years; I graduated from my master’s program at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2011 and packed up my car and moved to Maine. I enjoy working with children and families using cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative and play based therapies for young children. I was born and raised in Wisconsin; came to visit Maine in the summer of 2010 and fell in love with the ocean and all the beautiful scenery.
Matthew is a board certified licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience in the field of child and adult mental health. During treatment Matthew emphasizes a solution focused approach and collaborates with each individual to utilize the strengths they have to build upon. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Johnson State College in Vermont, Matthew completed his Master of Social Work from Humboldt University in California. During postgraduate practice, Matthew has worked in a variety of clinical environments ranging from inpatient hospitals to community outpatient clinics, with additional specialized training focused around children and adult mental health.
Matthew’s strength-based approach to counseling is built upon respect and trust in peoples’ abilities to overcome the challenges in their lives, guided by what they know is best for themselves and their family.
Matthew Lombard, LCSW, graduated from Boston College with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Matt has experience working with individuals of different ages in a variety of clinical settings. Since graduation Matt has worked with children through an intensive in-home program in York County as well as with adults and families in an outpatient setting. Matt takes a cognitive-behavioral approach to supporting clients and also has training in Dialectic Behavioral Training (DBT) with adults. Matt takes an ecological systems approach, that is strength based and client centered.
Cynthia obtained her Master’s Degree from Boston University and is licensed as a Social Worker and as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has twenty years of clinical experience. Her work history includes both inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse, school-based counseling and employee assistance. She has worked with clients of all ages. Her approach is client-centered and solution-focused.
Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings over twenty years of experience in the field of mental health treatment to Smart. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults, families and groups, in a variety of treatment settings. Her experience and expertise includes but is not limited to depression and mood disorders, anxiety and trauma, ADHD, grief, anger management, relationship issues and behavior management. She employs a variety of strategies and techniques in her work including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches and motivational interviewing. She believes the most important element of treatment is the therapeutic relationship and works with her clients to develop the most safe and effective treatment plan for them.
Colleen Jillson received her bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Science from the University of Maine. She graduated from the University of New England with a masters degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and works from a harm reduction model utilizing a narrative therapy approach in order to collaborate with clients to re-author their lives and heal from trauma and addiction.
Sharon Dadmun, LMSW has been a caseworker at SMART in the Treatment Foster Care Program since 1997. Prior to that, she worked for Casey Family Services in NH and for the State of NH in Child Protective Services. Sharon received her Bachelor of Social Work at Bridgewater State College in MA and her Master of Social Work at the State University of New York at Albany. She is passionate about working with foster children and foster families, and can’t imagine doing anything else.
Jennifer Prescott is a LCSW who joined the SMART team in July 2013. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work form the University of Southern Maine in 2003 and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of New England in 2010. She has lots of experience working with children and families and specializes in trauma treatment. She has completed training in both EMDR and TF-CBT and utilizes these in treatment when appropriate. Jennifer was born and raised in Maine and enjoys spending time with her three children.
