This position includes providing direct care behavioral health services to children and families in the home and community setting, as well as supervising children’s visits with family members. The direct care focuses on behavioral management with the goal of increasing the child’s level of functioning and skill development along with decreasing mal-adaptive behaviors. Visit supervision involves supervising birth family visitation at various sites as per agency and case-specific guidelines; assist with and help to provide, to the extent necessary, appropriate activities for the family; observe and document interactions between children and their parents. Intervene, if necessary, as per instructions. This position requires a high level of empathy and sensitivity to what has been and is the children)’s and families expeWriences.
This is an hourly, part time position (20+ hour week) that includes after school and evening hours and one weekend day. The successful applicant will have child development knowledge; ability to perceptively observe parent-child interaction; ability to exercise authority and be assertive when needed. Good documentation skills and good oral communication skills are required. Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, possess a strong work ethic and be service oriented. Must have the ability to read and follow a map and use a cell phone and a computer. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team and work with children with a variety of special needs.
Must be available to work at least one weekend day and after school hours. Must also have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation and have a successful criminal and child protective background check. Must be in good physical health, able to lift children up to 35-40 lbs, run short distances to retrieve small children, walk distances with children, climb stairs and on occasion climb stairs while carrying a small child. Staff must be free of impairment at all times during work; smoke free clothing and automobile.

BA/BS degree in Human Services/Social Work or related field preferred, Associates Degree acceptable and High School diploma/GED considered.
The main office is located off of Route 115 in North Windham but the position travels through out the service area which York and Cumberland counties.
